We were traveling to Montecito, CA for the month of August from NY. I was searching for a chef that could cook healthy meals for my family and I was recommended to Chef Edie. I first spoke to Chef Edie over the phone and right from the start she was peaceful, knowledgeable and full of suggestions. She cares about your dietary needs and creates a menu customized to your family preferences. Working with her in person is such a pleasure. She has a calm demeanor and an excitement about her ingredients. She uses organic straight from the farm and only the freshest ingredients. She has no nervous energy and makes you feel that you are her only priority. She is neat in the kitchen and flows like she has been there before. We have worked with many chefs and Edie has an amazing attitude and her flavors are just perfect!! Chef Edie can cook all different cuisine from Indian, Mediterranean, Italian or simple farm to table. Every day was unique and different and she always shared her cooking techniques. She was wonderful with our guests, children and our dog Rosey did not want to leave her side. For us the food was amazing every time and she made the experience of having a personal chef something special that we will always remember!

We can’t wait to have her again when we return to california!!

The beautiful evening wrapped up with a wonderfully intimate dinner on the patio terrace at Villa Verano with one of the best dinners I have ever had made by the caterer and personal Chef Edie! She is really sweet and let me tell you this lady knows how to create delectable creations, beyond words. Chef Edie is personal chef to many stars and it was obvious why! Regardless, after a warm Santa Barbara day, the couple and guests enjoyed the beautiful cool breeze, amazing view and cozy feel of the Villa Verano patio/terrace.

Mama indeed had a wonderful time. She was teary at different points during the party, and again when she was saying good bye and telling me how wonderful everything was! Sheri and I both appreciated having some quality time to actually enjoy Mama without having to worry about what was happening in the kitchen. Some of the girls had not seen each other in years so catching up won out over cooking at times. =) Also, I want to thank you for serving us toward the end of dinner there to allow us not to have to break up our conversation which was such a blessing for Tiff. The food was excellent! It was such a treat to walk back into the kitchen that night and if cleaned spotlessly as well with all the extra food packaged up. That was such a gift! You do good work and I thoroughly enjoyed working with you. When I got engaged I pretty much knew right off the bat that I would have Edie Robertson cater our wedding dinner – if she was willing! Not only did Edie pull off numerous miracles in the days leading up to the wedding (ummm…our wedding site was the official “fire staging area” for a major wildfire burning…shutting 75% of Santa Barbara down), but she did so in such a calm, reassuring and professional manner.

The food was amazing and such an important part of our Italian themed, outdoor wedding. Edie took into consideration all the details that one wouldn’t normally think of…the colors of the vegetables on the trays, which vegetables would be in perfect season on our date, the correct wood chips to use for which type of meat, the list goes on and on. All of these details paid off in a way that we couldn’t even expect.

All of our guests continue to compliment the food from our wedding day – the freshness, presentation and aroma. The special touches that Edie and her staff put into our wedding day took so much stress off of us. It was so nice knowing that we were in good hands and I would recommend her over and over to anyone planning an event – from big to small!
